DOOR-TO-DOOR SHOPPING SERVICES

Wealdlink operates a weekly door-to-door shopping services to Crowborough, Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne. The service is for anyone who has difficulty accessing normal service buses. The Crowborough shopping service picks you up from your from home, takes you into Crowborough which offers easy access to Waitrose, Morrisons, Lidl, Crowborough Post Office and a range of banks. The Tunbridge Wells service stops in the centre of the town where you can visit the specialist shops and big high street names. The monthly Eastbourne service stops outside the Arndale Centre from there it is a short walk to take in the sights on the promenade.

WEALDLINK COMMUNITY TRIPS

Subject to availability our buses can be hired by community groups and societies. Does your group need a break? A trip to the theatre, special event etc? Our community trips service includes the driver and eligible groups are required to register as members at the time of booking. WEALDLINK VOLUNTEER DRIVER OPPORTUNITIES

We have been delighted with the response to date but the more volunteers we can sign up the more we can expand our services. Do you enjoy driving, meeting and helping people? Are you aged between 25 And 70? Do you have a few hours to spare on an occasional or regular basis? Then please consider joining us as a volunteer driver whether you can drive once a week or once a month. All of our volunteers will testify this is gratifying work. Volunteers drivers drive for our daily shopper services and the Wealdlink community trips service. Trips will vary from short local runs to longer excursions.
Full MiDAS training will be given and our drivers must be happy to deal courteously and helpfully with all passengers, particularly as many may be elderly, infirm, or have physical or other disabilities. All out of pocket expenses will be met.

WEALDLINK NON DRIVING VOLUNTEERS

To operate our services requires a whole range of jobs including:

assistingPassenger Assistants:- When available passenger assistants are an invaluable help to our drivers. Travelling with the bus they can help locate each address, help the passengers on and off, deal with fares etc. All this reduces the time the driver would spend and generally saves a great deal of time for both the outgoing and return journeys.

phone Office Staff:- Everything to help our office run and grow efficiently. Whatever your skills from just taking calls to planning our trips, from simple filing to meeting up with and dispatching our drivers having assisted to get the bus through its daily safety check, we could really use you. WEALDLINK PAID DRIVERS AND PASSENGER ASSISTANTS

NWCTP are delighted to welcome Erwin and Vicky as drivers and Jeanie and Madona as passenger assistants for our contract service. As and when we have vacancies for paid part time drivers and passenger assistants for our contract services they will be advertised here. Full training is given and our drivers and assistants must be happy to deal courteously and helpfully with all passengers, particularly as many may be elderly, infirm, or have physical or other disabilities. THE WEALDLINK SERVICE

The Wealdlink service is provided by NWCTP Ltd. a not for profit company, registered charity and approved provider of Community Transport for the North Wealden Area. Our aim is to provide accessible, safe and affordable transport for those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged through lack of appropriate transport, from all sections of the community across North Wealden and beyond, in order to combat social exclusion and increase independence.
Our services are grant aided by member councils of the Wealdlink Forum: Buxted, Danehill, Forest Row, Frant, Hartfield, Maresfield, Withyham Parish Councils, Crowborough Town Council, Wealden District Council and East Sussex County Council.
